01About Tamaruva

Tamaruva Origins arranges private experiences in Rio de Janeiro State, with the Atlantic Forest at the heart of its journeys. We welcome enquiries from travel agencies, tour operators, travel designers and private travellers. Our experiences are for you and your own party; they are not shared departures with other bookings.

The service provider is TAMARUVA ORIGINS LTDA, CNPJ 69.255.195/0001-17, registered at Rua Lauro Muller, 36, apto 302, Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro – RJ, 22290-160, Brazil. General enquiries: info@tamaruva.com. Travel agencies and partners: partners@tamaruva.com.

02Enquiries and confirmation

Submitting a website form requests a personalised proposal. It does not make a reservation, take payment or confirm availability. A booking is confirmed only through our written confirmation under the conditions supplied with your proposal.

Before accepting, please review the experience, date, party size, pickup arrangements, duration, language, inclusions, exclusions and any requested options. Let us know promptly if anything needs correcting. Travel partners should also check that these details reflect their clients' requirements.

03Your private experience

All 22 experiences in the Private Rio Collection include a driver and a guide. Transfers are a separate service; their staffing, vehicle, capacity and inclusions are specified in the written proposal.

Meals, admission arrangements, fast-pass access and other options apply only when expressly included in your proposal. An option selected in an enquiry is a request for us to assess and quote, rather than a confirmed addition.

Please tell us about accessibility or support needs when enquiring so that suitability can be assessed. We may request necessary details separately to help plan the experience appropriately.

04Current payment and cancellation conditions

Your written proposal sets out the price, currency, inclusions and any conditions specific to the services you request. The following are Tamaruva's current payment and cancellation conditions for confirmed services or stages.

Payment: 30% is payable on confirmation and the remaining 70% no later than 10 days before the first service. Bookings made within 10 days of the first service require full payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Cancellation charges are assessed separately for each affected confirmed service or stage, according to the notice given before it begins:

At least 72 hours’ notice: no Tamaruva cancellation charge, apart from any non-recoverable costs previously disclosed and accepted.

More than 12 hours but less than 72 hours’ notice: 50% of the affected confirmed service or stage.

12 hours’ notice or less, or no-show: 100% of the affected confirmed service or stage.

Non-recoverable costs must have been disclosed and accepted before confirmation. They are not charged twice: recoveries and amounts already covered are deducted. A supplier's charge does not automatically authorise passing that charge on to you.

Hotels follow the specific conditions stated in their separate quotation. A hotel's non-refundable rate does not, by itself, make the entire journey non-refundable. The absence of a Tamaruva cancellation charge does not promise recovery of an accepted, genuinely non-recoverable supplier cost.

Please use the contact channel in your confirmation to request a cancellation, change or correction. Any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer withdrawal and refund rights, remain unaffected. These conditions do not replace those rights.

05Timing, access and nature

Published durations and suggested routes should be read with the specific details in your proposal. Traffic, weather, attraction access, local rules and safety conditions may affect timings or the order of visits. We will communicate material changes and handle them in accordance with the agreed booking conditions and applicable law.

Wildlife is free living. Sightings, animal behaviour and natural conditions cannot be guaranteed. Please follow your guide's safety and conservation instructions and respect local communities and protected areas.

06Website information and materials

We aim to keep descriptions and information accurate. If you notice an inconsistency, please contact us so that it can be checked before you book. Nothing in these terms removes our responsibility for the services we supply or limits rights protected by applicable law.

Copyright and other rights in website materials remain with their respective rightsholders. Please contact us about any proposed reuse.

07Privacy and contact

Our Privacy & Cookies notice explains how enquiry and booking information is handled and how you can exercise your data rights. Submitting an enquiry does not, by itself, authorise promotional use of your image.

For booking questions, corrections or concerns, please contact us using the details on our Contact page or in your written confirmation. Brazilian law applies subject to any mandatory protections that apply to you.
